Parent and Educator Seminar
Batavia's CANDO (Challenge Advocacy Network Development Organization) is sponsoring a seminar for
parents, educators, and community members about the unique characteristics of gifted children. Liz Hutchins, an Aurora University instructor and a former BPS gifted coordinator will be the key
speaker for the evening. Ms. Hutchins teaches a gifted seminar offered through Aurora
University and has a great deal of experience and expertise in the field of giftedness.
This event is
free and open to all community members. Anyone who is interested in
learning more about what it means for a child to be gifted would find this seminar very helpful as Liz will be
discussing characteristics of giftedness as well as the differences
between gifted and talented
children.
The seminar,
"How Well Do You Know Your Gifted Child?"
will be held on January 6th, 2014 at the Rotolo Middle School
Learning Resource Center from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. For more
information about CANDO or this seminar,
interested attendees should go to: http://bataviacando.weebly.com or email
BataviaCANDO@gmail.com.
